To participate in the New Corner Computational Thinking Competition, students must complete the registration form by clicking REGISTER HERE and pay a registration fee of 8 euros (the equivalent amount in the local currency).
After registration, each participant will receive a unique ID number sent to the email address provided during registration.
The competition link will be sent to participants 72 hours before the competition begins.
On the day of the competition, May 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM, participants should click on the link to access the competition. The link will not be accessible before 10:00 AM.
The competition will be conducted online using Microsoft Forms. Participants do not need to use cameras during the competition.
Competition Categories
Participants compete in different categories according to their age group. Each category receives a set of tasks appropriate to the participants’ level.
Category 1 – Ages 6–8
Category 2 – Ages 9–11
Category 3 – Ages 12–14
Category 4 – Ages 15–16
Category 5 – Ages 17–19
Competition Format
The competition consists of 12 logical tasks, divided into three levels of difficulty:
- 4 easy tasks
- 4 medium difficulty tasks
- 4 challenging tasks
Tasks include multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions.
Competition Duration
The competition lasts 60 minutes.
Once the competition begins, participants have 60 minutes to submit their answers.
Scoring
Participants are ranked based on:
- the number of correct answers
- the time needed to complete the competition
The participant with the highest number of correct answers in the shortest time will be ranked highest.
Tie-Breaking Rule
If two or more participants have the same number of correct answers, the ranking will be determined by the time taken to complete the competition.
The participant who completed the competition in the shortest time will receive the higher rank.
If the participants have both the same score and the same completion time, the organizers reserve the right to determine the final ranking based on additional criteria.
Results
All results are processed automatically by computer and will be published within 48 hours after the competition.
Important Information
- The competition is individual.
- Participants can compete from school or from home.
- A computer, tablet, or mobile phone with internet access is required.
- Each participant may enter the competition only once using their unique ID.
